Asphalt

The Character of Cities

Asphalt. The Character of Cities is an exhibition that was held at the Milan Triennale in the Spring of 2003.

The show, curated by Mirko Zardini and Giovanna Borasi, with Isabella Inti and Ludovica Molo, was the final outcome of in-depth research on the character of the contemporary city as seen through the lens of a “banal” but very valuable material. In 2004, Massimo Pitis was invited by Kenya Hara to give a speech about the visual identity and graphic design of the exhibition in Nagoya (Japan), at the ICOGRADA event “Visualogue”.
